The Premise

The Netherworld--a world of darkness where demons and other things usually left to nightmares reign.

Until quite recently, this world stood largely in isolation, save for the flow of human souls atoning for their sins. Humans knew of it only through myth and rumor and the angels kept the gateway between the Netherworld and Celestia closed.

When the King of the Netherworld passed away, chaos reigned even more strongly the past few months as Prince Laharl sought to claim his father's throne. Conflict enveloped not only the Netherworld, but Celestia and the Human World as well.

When Overlord Laharl emerged victorious, things should have quieted down. No one suspected that they would soon be introduced to quite a few other worlds.

Something has gone terribly wrong with the dimensional routes that those of the demon world use to travel. By all appearances, they've gone haywire, and begun snatching people away to the Netherworld at random. To the Overlord's Castle, to be exact.

Those at the castle claim they have no idea of the cause, including Overlord Laharl himself. But is the word of a demon to be trusted?

While you look for answers and a way home, do you face the dangers of the Netherworld yourself, or do stay in the castle and do the Overlord's bidding?

There are plenty of floors in the castle that need mopping.
